A 10 year old boy named Umar. He is a rich successful businessman. By his father Umar at school at Jakarta's most prestigious International Elementary School. Of course predictable, the pay is very expensive. But for the businessman, certainly not a problem, because the money is abundant.
The father thinks that his child should get the best education in all levels, so that his child will be a successful person to follow his footsteps.
One day his wife told me that next Saturday the father was invited to attend "Father's Day" event at Umar school.
" Waduuuh I'm busy mah, you are the only one who came." so said the father to his wife.
For him this event is not important than his big business. But this time his wife is angry and threatening, because the umpteenth time the father never wanted to come to his son's event. He is ashamed because his son is always accompanied by his mother, while the other children are always accompanied by his father.
Well because threatened by his wife, finally the father wants to attend even though it's a bit ogah2an. Father's day is a special packed event where children show each other's ability in front of their fathers.
Because Umar's father ogah2an then he chooses to sit in the back, while the other fathers (especially the young ones) scramble to sit in front to cheer up his children who will perform on stage.
One by one the children show their own talent and permit there are singing, dancing, reading poetry, pantomime. Some show off the painting, etc. All got applause that strapping gempita from their fathers.
Umar's turn to be called his teacher to show his allowed...
" Miss, may I call Mr. Arief." ask Umar to his teacher. Mr. Arief is a teacher paying for extra curricular activities at that school.
" Oh okay.." so answer the teacher.
And Mr. Arief was called to the stage." Mr. Arief, may father open the Holy Qur 'an Letter 78 ( An-Naba')" once Umar asked the teacher of his prayer.
" Of course it is okay son.." replied Mr. Arief.
" Please pay attention to whether my reading is wrong."
Then Umar began to chant QS An-Naba ' without reading his mushafnya (memorization) with a serenade of rhythm that is exactly like the reading of "Shaykh Sudais" (High Priest of Haram Mosque).
All ladies and gentlemen are glued to listen to Umar's reading, including Umar's father sitting behind.
" Stop, you have finished reading verse 1 s / d 5 perfectly. Now try to read verse 9.." so said Mr. Arief who suddenly cut Umar's reading.
Then Umar read verse 9.
" Stop, try now read verse 21.. then verse 33.." after the end of Umar read it... then Mr. Arief said, " Now you read verse 40 (the last verse) ".
Umar also read the 40th verse until the end."
" Subhanallah... you memorize An-Naba ' letter perfectly son," so shouted Mr. Arief while shedding his tears.
Ladies and gentlemen who are unable to withstand their tears. Then Mr. Arief asked Umar, " Why do you choose to memorize the Qur ' an and read it at this event son, while your friends show other permitted?" so ask Mr. Arief curious.
This is the teacher, when I am lazy to pay in following the lesson of father, Father rebuke me while delivering the word of the messenger of Allah, " Who reads the Qur ' an, learns it, and does it, then wear the crown from the light on the day of resurrection. His light is like sunlight and both parents are dressed in two robes (glory) that were never obtained in the world. Both of them asked, " Why are we dressed in this cloak?" He replied, " Because you both commanded your son to study the Qur ' an." (H.R. Al-Judge).
" Teacher, I want to present the " Robe of Glory " to my mother and father before God in the future, as a child devoted to both people.."
Everyone gasp and can't stem their tears hearing the 10-year-old said...
In the middle of the silent atmosphere.. suddenly heard the scream " Allahu Akbar!" from someone who ran from behind to the stage.
Turns out he is Umar's father, who directly bump the child, kneel while hugging his son's feet.
" omg son.. forgive the father who never noticed you, never educate you with religious knowledge, let alone teach you to read the Quran." said the father while crying at his son's feet.
" Father wants you to succeed in the world son, apparently you think of " father's glory " in the afterlife. Dad is shy son " said the father while crying
All the jama was stunned, and also began to shed his tears, including me.
Among the jama even there is someone who can't hide the sound of his crying, it is amazing. I don't know what is in mind that crying. Maybe someone feels sinful for abandoning his child, maybe feeling guilty for neglect to teach religion to his child, maybe sorry for not teaching his child to read the Quran, or feel sinful because lazy to read the Qur ' an that is only lying on the shelf of his book.
