THE QUR'AN - THE FINAL REVELATION

Read by BILLIONS ...
Memorised by MILLIONS ...
Never Changed ...
Always Authentic ...
Who is the Author?

The Book & its Message

“This Book is a revelation from God, the Almighty, the Wise.” [39:1]
The Qur’an is the exact Word of God (Allah), sent down as Guidance to all humanity. [39:41]
Allah revealed The Qur’an to His Final and Universal Prophet, Muhammad ( peace be upon him). It was conveyed to him through Angel Gabriel, in Arabic, the language of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
The Qur'an is the "upgraded" Final Revelation in a series of Divine Revelations sent to earlier Prophets who include Abraham, Moses and Jesus Christ (pbuh).

The Final Reminder

The Qur’an mentions earlier Books, namely, the Torah (Taurat) of Moses, the Psalms (Zabur) of David and the Gospel (Injeel) of Jesus.
Earlier Books were limited to specific periods of history. Their true teachings are lost or altered. But their message is retold and permanently preserved in The Qur'an - the only Divine Book that still exists in its original authentic form.
The Qur’an confirms the traces of Truth that remain in the present-day versions of these earlier Books, while it refutes and corrects the alterations and falsehoods that have corrupted the original Books.
The Qur’an continues the Message of Islam contained in the Books of earlier Prophets: “Worship & submit to Allah, The One & Only God. Follow the teachings of the Prophets. Do good deeds to prepare for the Hereafter when the righteous are rewarded in Paradise & the wrongdoers are punished in Hell-fire.”

Why is The Qur’an so unique?

Most Recited & Memorised

The Arabic word “Qur’an” (sometimes spelt Koran) means “Recitation” or “Reading.”

The first verse revealed: "Recite! In the Name of your Lord who created ..." [96:1]

The Qur’an is the world’s most recited Book. Apart from its recital in the daily prayers, millions of Muslims also recite it regularly. Muslims connect with the Creator through His Book - reciting, understanding it and implementing its Guidance in their lives.

Allah made The Qur’an “easy to remember.” [54:17]
The Qur’an consists of about 600 pages, and it is memorised in its entirety by millions of Muslims of all ages, language and background.

Unchanged & Unchangeable

Memorisation guarantees that The Qur’an will always remain in its original revealed form. A word added, removed or altered can be detected and the error rectified. Even if every printed copy is lost or destroyed, the exact Qur’an text can be reproduced from the memories of millions of Muslims - a miracle unique to Allah’s Final Book!

Uniquely Revealed & Preserved

Uniquely Revealed & Preserved The Qur’an was not sent down as a physical Book in a single revelation. It was revealed in parts, according to the needs of the growing Islamic society, over 23 years of Muhammad’s Prophethood, which began in 610 CE till his death in 632 CE. [25:32]

Muhammad (pbuh) instructed the people to memorise the revelations and scribes to write them. After his death, the Qur’an was compiled into a master volume. Later, several standard copies were prepared and dispatched to various regions of the expanding Islamic world. Subsequent copies were produced from them. Present-day Qur’an copies have the same content as those original standard manuscripts.

The Qur'an is uniquely preserved - in writing and memory. This is a fulfilment of Allah's promise: "We have sent down the Message, and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)." [15:9]

Is The Qur’an from God?

The credibility of a revealed religion rests solely on the authenticity of its Divine Book. Islam is Truth because The Qur’an is from God.
The Qur’an invites us to discover (and be convinced of) its divine source by exploring its contents.

Challenge of The Qur’an

Muhammad (pbuh) did not author The Qur'an, nor could he - he was known to be illiterate.
Allah makes a challenge in His Qur’an: “If you doubt what We have revealed to Our servant, Muhammad, then produce just one chapter like it ...” [2:23]
Chapter 108 of The Qur’an has only 10 words!
The people to whom Muhammad (pbuh) first conveyed The Qur’an were masters of Arabic. And yet, this challenge was never met.

This “Eternal Challenge” of The Qur’an has not been met for 14 centuries. Allah warns: “If you cannot do it, and you will never be able to do it, then fear the Hell-fire.” [2:24]

No Errors & Contradictions

Allah is All-Perfect. His Book must be perfect, rational, free from doubt, errors, contradictions, myths and superstitions, and it must be compatible with established facts.

Allah tells us that there are no errors in The Qur’an, and then challenges us to find even a single mistake in it. “Will they not reflect on The Qur’an? If it was from a source other than Allah, they would have found many contradictions in it.” [4:82]

The Qur’an has no inaccuracies whatsoever. It speaks about history, and the future, and physical phenomena unknown in the 7th century, and all of them turn out correct.

Who is the Author?

The Qur’an & Science

World-renowned scientists have studied verses of The Qur’an relating to various fields such as cosmology, embryology, geology, and oceanology.

Their findings have led them to testify that: “The Qur’an can only come from a divine source. Muhammad (pbuh) must have been a Messenger of God.”

The Qur'an is not a book of science; it is a Book of "Signs" that point to its divine origin. It contains numerous scientific facts, some of which have only recently been discovered through the use of powerful microscopes, telescopes, and other modern scientific instruments.

“We will show them Our signs in the universe & within themselves, until it becomes clear to them that The Qur’an is the Truth.” [41:53]

Only the Creator Himself could have revealed these scientific facts in a 7th century Book:
• the “Big Bang” origin of the universe [21:30]
• the expanding universe [51:47]
• the spherical shape of the earth [79:30]
• the development of the human embryo [23:12-14]

Miracle from Allah

The Qur'an is indeed a miracle because "even if all of mankind & the jinn (spirits) combined together, they can never produce anything like it." [17:88]

And it is an "everlasting" miracle since it is permanently preserved in its original form.

Proof of Islam

The Qur'an is the main miracle of Muhammad (pbuh). Its authenticity proves he was a true Prophet, and that Islam is the true Religion of Allah.
As all the essential teachings of Islam are found in The Qur'an, its preservation means Islam will perpetually remain in its original purity. The world can always return to The Qur'an as the source of Islam, no matter what people may add, delete or forget over time.

“Why should I read The Qur’an?”

This is the Book - there is no doubt in it - it is Guidance for the righteous.” [2:2]
The Qur'an contains timeless Guidance. Allah speaks to us in His Qur’an with the perfect knowledge of the Creator about His creation. The Qur’an “explains all things clearly.” [16:89]

Read it to know what Allah tells us about
who He is and how to relate to Him
• the answers to Life’s BIG Questions: “Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I on earth? What lies after death?”
• true happiness that is attained only when you know and fulfil the purpose of your life
• the lessons from the lives of the Prophets who include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and particularly, the Truth about Jesus Christ (pbut)
• the End of the world, accountability on the Day of Judgment, Paradise and Hell-fire
• the correct beliefs, practices and values that make a better you, and a better world where Truth, Justice and Peace prevail.

Indeed, Allah's Qur'an presents solutions to all our problems, and those of our communities, and the problems of the world at large.

“I don’t know Arabic. How can I read The Qur’an?”

Only in Arabic is The Qur'an the exact Word of Allah. You can read a translation of the meaning of The Qur'an in your language at www.qurandownload.com

Read The Qur’an. Be guided. Choose Islam. “The Religion with Allah is Islam, that is, submission to the Will of Allah.” [3:19]
