The Arrival of Spaniards and Christianity in the Philippines when Magellan arrived at Limasawa on March 16, 1521, the Philippines is a total Muslim country (Muslim Country). The RELIGION OF ISLAM in the Philippines was 144 years before the Spanish or Christianity arrived. A nation who worships the one true God.
The fact that it is recorded in the history of the Philippines that when Legaspi arrived (in exchange of Magellan) died, the Muslim community was fully established in Batangas, Pampanga, Mindoro, Panay, Cataduanes, Cebu, Samar, Manila, Palawan and Mindanao .. The three faithful and valiant Muslim warriors (Mujahideen) who fought the Spanish for the peace of the Philippines and for the ISLAM religion are RAJAH SULAYMAN of Amanillah (Manila), DATU LAPU-LAPU of Subuh (Cebu) and SULTAN MUHAMMAD DIPATUAN KUDARAT of Mindanao!
On June 3, 1571 the Spaniards launched a great war with Muslims in Manila. Manila was then ruled by Rajah Sulayman (It's a Muslim name). He boldly defends Amanillah (Manila) for the ISLAM religion until the last drop of his blood in Bangkusay on the coast of Tondo, Manila. After the Spaniards oppressed Rajah Sulayman and his associates killed Spaniards in Amanillah (Manila) young or old. Nevertheless Muslims firmly and valiantly defend themselves until the last fiber of their breath.
Because of the poor weapon that Muslims had before (bolos and spear) against the Spanish guns and canyons, they were forced to retreat and evacuate to Rizal Province and that place is now known for the call Morong Rizal , and those who evacuated to the rivers are now called Tagalog (river) like Cavite, Laguna etc. Muslims in the town of Rizal continue to fight for the Spaniards and that area is now recognized in Calabarzon, Rizal.
The Spaniards established their headquarters in Manila and continued the invasion of Visayas Island. Muslims who didn't die in battle were forced to replace ISLAM Religion and Spaniards embraced Christianity at the end of the Sword, they were used by violence just to leave the Muslim religion alone, forced to be Christian in the ISLAM because Spanish will kill Filipino Muslims who will not convert to their religion (Christian). But the faithful and courageous Muslims chose the grave rather than replace the worship of the one and only true lord ALLAH.
The Spaniards didn't stop conquering and they sought to seize also Mindanao but Muslims here like brave and faithful Muslim Sultan Kudarat and the Iranon tribes, Maranao, Maguindanaon, Tausug, Yakan, Samal, Jama Mapun and Sangil are bold and bravely defendant and did not allow foreigners to change their religion or being a MUSLIM. They defended and fought before and will continue to defend ISLAM religion until now.
Spaniards died in the Philippines for four hundred years (400). It's a long time to force all Muslims to erase the Islamic religion in the Philippine history of ISLAM, but they failed, until the Spaniards leadership ended in 1898 when America grabbed the Philippines.
Even if the nation of the Philippines tastes temporarily, the Islamic Religion given by the great creator Allah will remain standing and firm that will never be moved. This is why Filipinos are called ′′ Back to Islam ′′ when they become Muslims.
