Some celebrities love the spotlight- even after death.
- Abraham Lincoln : U.S President (1861 - 1865), assassinated in April 15, 1865 by John Wilkes Booth, at Ford's Theater in Washington D.C. Some White House staff have reported the occasional appearance of the former President wandering the building. Former First Lady,Grace Coolidge claimed to have seen himin the Oval Office by the window, and former British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill also purported to have seen him while staying in the Lincoln Bedroom.
- Al Capone @ Alphonse Gabriel Capone : Nickname "Scarface", died on 25 January 1947 > Al Capone served a total of 4 ½ years at the maximum federal penitentiary Alcatraz and there are stories that banjo music sometimes plays from his old jail cell at Alcatraz. That’s not the only place though. He allegedly used the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago Illinois as the headquarters for his organization and there have been multiple sightings of Capone.
- Amy Winehouse : English singer, died 23 July 2011. Her ghost was seen at London Flat by Pete Doherty about three or four times. Her father said in 2018, her daughter's spirit visited her families home in Kent.
- Anna Nicole Smith : Died 8 February 2007 > American Model, actress and TV personality. She spent her final hours at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and casino in Hollywood before her death. People claimed to see her spirit wandering aroung the hotel lobby.
- Carole Lombard : Born Jane Alice Peters (1908), an American actress,died in a plane crash on January 16, 1942, but her spirit is still said to be at the Hollywood home she rented from 1933 to 1937.
- Charlie Chaplin @ Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin : English filmmaker and composer who died on 25 December 1977. He was said to haunt Musso & Frank's, a popular restaurant for the Hollywood elite. Some even claim Chaplin can be seen in photographs taken of the restaurant. He's said to sit where he always like to sit, in Booth 1 as it was the booth next to the window.
- Clark Gable : American actor, died on 16 November 1960. He and his wife, Carole Lombard, are said to haunt the Oatman Hotel in Oatman, Arizona.After they married, they spent their honeymoonat the Oatman Hotel in Kingman. Carole Lombard died in a Plane crash on January 16, 1942.
- Clifton Webb: American actor, singer and dancer, died of Heart Disease on October 13, 1966. He was known to tell his friends that he would haunt the house he lived after he died. True to his word, his ghost has been seen in his former house area.
- Elvis Presley: American singer and actor > Elvis Presley performed regularly at the Las Vegas Hilton from 1969 through 1976 before his death in August 16, 1977. Legend has it he still hangs around backstage at his former performance space.
- George Reeves: American actor, died on 16 June 1959 from an alleged suicide at the age fo 45. He is said to haunt his former home where he died. Visitors to the home claim to have heard strange noises coming from Teeve's old bedroom and a film crew shooting at the house once saw him appear in full Superman regalia.
- Harry Houdini @ Erik Weisz : Harrowed as the greatest magician of all time, Harry Houdini died on Halloween night in October 31, 1926. He planned to come back after death and promised his wife he would contact her in the afterlife. Many have claimed they've caught a glimpse of Houdini wandering around the frounds in the restored home.
- Jean Harlow: American actress, died of Kidney failure on 7 June 1937. Her spirit has apparently stuck around her home. A family who lived in their home later on described hearing racking sobs, smelling mysterious perfume and hearing a woman's voice whispering "Please help me".
- Jim Morrison: anotehr member of the 27 Club, former lead singer of the Doors. Died in a bathtub in Paris on July 3, 1971 from the heart failure, believed to have been an overdose. His ghost traveled all the way from Paris to Los Angeles where he's been seen in the bathroom at Mexico Restaurant Y Barra.His ghost was apparently photographed near his grave in Paris, France in 1997.
- Joan Crawford @ Luccile Fay LeSueur : American actress, died on 10 May 1977 > her adopted daughter, Christina Crawford said the house she grew up in Brentwood was haunted and she saw things in the house. The house where Joan Crawford die in the home, things got weirder with spontaneouf fires.
- John Belushi : American comedian, actor, singer and musician. He overdosed in Bungalow 3 on March 5, 1982 and was found 2 days later by his bodyguard and fitness trainer. He is said to haunt Chateau Marmont, an exclusive hotel popular with A-list celebrities. In 1999, a family moved into Bungalow 3 while their house was being renovated, and the 2-year-old claimed to be laughing a lot because of the "funny man." When his mom was going through a book seeing the famous guests of Chateau Marmont, the boy pointed to Belushi's picture and said, "Funny man!"
- John Lennon: English musician & activist, shot death 8 December 1980 at Dakota by Mark David Chapman. His new apartment building is the place that Lennon's ghost return to the most.
- John Wayne: American actor, died on June 11, 1979 > has been seen on hid old yacht,the Wild Goose. When psychics investigated the ghost, they felt that Wayne wasn't trapped here but rather just returned to one of his favorite places.
- Lucille Ball : American actress and comedian. Died 26 April 1989. She died in her Beverly Hills Mansion and subsequent owners have reported mysteriously broken windows, voices heard from the attic, and furniture moving around the house. Her ghost has also been reported at the Hart building on the Paramount Studios backlot where “I Love Lucy” was produced and the Jamestown Cemetery in New York where she was buried.
- Marilyn Monroe @ Norma Jean Mortenson: American actress and model, Marilyn Monroe is said to haunt the Brentwood home she was found dead in on August 4, 1962, from an overdose. There is also sighting report of her in room 1200 of The Roosevelt Hotel. The Hippodrome on the Santa Monica Pier is another rumored spot.
- Mark Twain: American writer, humorist and essayist, died on April 21, 1910. His spirit allegedly haunts the bilding's stairwell downtown New York at 14 West 10th Street where he once lived in.
- Montgomery Clift : American actor, died 23 July 1966. Clift now haunts the Roosevelt Hotel, the same hotel that had sighted the ghost of Marilyn Monroe, specifically at room 928, where he has been known to pat guests on the shoulder and give people the feeling of being watched.
- Orson welles : American filmmaker and actor, died of heart attack on 11 October 1985. He was reportedly haunts some of his favourite dining spots too-specifically, a hot spt that used to be the Ma Maison Restaurant. Customers have reported sightings of Orson Welles at his favorite corner table.
- Redd Foxx @ John Elroy Sanford :American stand-up comedian, died on October 11, 1991. He has been known to haunt Stage 31 at Paramount Studios, where died of a heart attack. He is also known to haunt his former home in Las Vegas
- Rudolph Valentino : an Italian Actor, died 23 August 1926, is said to appear at the Paramount Pictures lots where he worked.
- Thelma Todd : American actress, died on December 16, 1935, killed by carbon monoxide poisoning in her car. There are report by employees of the cafe near the ocean on Roosevelt Highway has seen Thelma Todd's ghostly image descending the stairs.
- Walt Disney: American animator, film producer and entrepreneur. Died on 15 December 1966. His ghost believed to haunt Disneyland. He's been spotted all aroung the park at Fantasyland the haunted mansion and in his old apartment above the fire station.
- Wladziu Valentino Liberace: an American pianist, singer and actor. Died on 4 February 1987, is said to haunt Carluccio's Tivoli Gardens, a restaurant he used to own in Las Vegas.
