What they say about Islam, the Prophet and the Quran

A.J. Toynbee - Civilization on Trial, New York, 1948:
“The extinction of race consciousness as between Muslims is one of the outstanding achievement of Islam and in the contemporary world there is, as it happens, a crying need for the propagation of this Islamic virtue.”

Sir Abdullah Archibald Hamilton Bart :
"I do not think I need say much about the Universal Brotherhood of man in Islam. It is a recognized fact. Lord and vassal, rich and poor, are all like. I have always found that my brother Muslims have been the soul of honour and that I could believe their word. They have always treated me justly, as a man and a brother, and have extended to me the greatest hospitality, and I have always felt at home with them."

Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips :
“The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word “Islam” itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gautama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of “Allah” and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah’s “God’s” religions, the total submission to the will of Allah “God”. The Arabic word of “Islammeans the submission or surrender of one’s will to the only true god worthy of worship “Allah” and anyone who does so is termed a “Muslim”.

Aminah Assilmi - director of International Union of Muslim Women, formerly a Southern Baptist preacher:
"I am so very glad that I am a Muslim. Islam is my life. Islam is the beat of my heart. Islam is the blood that courses through my veins. Islam is my strength. Islam is my life so wonderful and beautiful. Without Islam I am nothing, and should Allah ever turn His magnificent face from me, I could not survive."

Alfred Kroner - Department of Geoscience, University of Mainz,Germany :
  1. "Thinking where Muhammad came from... I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out within the last few years with very complicated and advanced technological methods that this is the case."
  2. "Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics 1400 years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind for instance that the earth and the heavens had the same origin, or many others of the questions that we have discussed here...
  3. If you combine all these and you combine all these statements that are being made in the Qur'an in terms that relate to the earth and the formation of the earth and science in general, you can basically say that statements made there in many ways are true, they can now be confirmed by scientific methods, and in a way, you can say that the Qur'an is a simple science text book for the simple man. And that many of the statements made in there at that time could not be proven, but that modern scientific methods are now in a position to prove what Muhammad said 1400 years ago."
Alphonse de Lamartine: HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE, Paris, 1854, Vol.II pp.276-277 said about the Prophet (pbuh) :
"Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images; the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?"

A.M.L.Staddard: Quoted in Islam: The Religion of all Prophets, Begun Bawani Waqf, Karachi, Pakistan :
“The rise of Islam is perhaps the most amazing event in human history. Spreading from a land and a people previously negligible, Islam spread within a century over half the earth, shattering great empires, overthrowing long-established religion, remolding the souls of races, and building up a whole new world – the world of Islam.
The closer we examine this development the more extraordinary it appears. The other great religions won their way slowly, by painful struggle and finally triumphed with the aid of powerful monarchs converted to the new faith. Christianity had its Constantine, Buddhism its Asoka, and Zoroastrianism its Cyrus, each lending to his chosen cult the mighty force of secular authority. Not so Islam. Arising in a desert land sparsely inhabited by a nomad race previously undistinguished in human annals, Islam sallied forth on its great adventure with the slenderest human backing and against the heaviest material odds. Yet Islam triumphed with seemingly miraculous ease, and a couple of generations saw the Fiery Crescent borne victorious from the Pyrenees to the Himalayas and from the deserts of central Asia to the deserts of central Africa….”

Annie Besant - The life and Teachings of Muhammad :
"I often think that woman is more free in Islam than in Christianity. Woman is more protected by Islam than by the faith which preaches monogamy. In the Quran, the law about woman is more just and liberal. It is only in the last twenty years that Christian England has recognised the right the right of woman to property, while Islam has allowed this right from all times. It is a slander to say that Islam preaches that women have no soul."

Arnoud van Doorn: Dutch politician, an Islamophobic, who once helped produced a film depicting Islam as evil and extreme, converted to Islam in 2013:
  1. "I found myself among them these faithful hearts. I hope that my tears of regret will wash out all my sins after my repentence. (While performing Hajj).
  2. "I felt ashamed standing in front of the Prophet’s grave. I thought of the grave mistake which I had made by producing that sacrilegious film. I hope that Allah will forgive me and accept my repentance."
Associated Press : on 30 March 2008 reported :
"Islam has surpassed Roman Catholicism as the world's largest religion, the Vatican Newspaper said on Sunbay, 'For the first time in history, we are no longer at the top, Muslims have overtaken.'

Cat Stevens (Now Yusuf Islam), former British pop star:
"Everything made so much sense. This is the beauty of the Qur'an; it asks you to reflect and reason....When I read the Qur'an further, it talked about prayer, kindness and charity. I was not a Muslim yet, but I felt the only answer for me was the Qur'an and God had sent it to me."
"It will be wrong to judge Islam in the light of the behavior of some bad Muslims who are always shown on the media. It is like jugding a car as a bad one if the driver of the car is drunk and he bangs it into the wall. Islam guides all human beings in daily life in it's spritual, mental and physical dimensions. But we must find the sources of these instructions, the Qur'an and the example of the Prophet. The we can see the ideal of Islam."

Canon Taylor - at the Church Congress at Walverhamton, 7 Oct 1887:
"It (Islam) replaced monkishness by manliness. It gives hope to the slave, brotherhood to mankind and recognition of the fundamental facts of human nature."

Carly Fiorina : CEO of Hewlett-Packard, gave thanks to the Muslims, She said there was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world, that is the Islamic civilization from the year 800 to 1600, which include the Ottoman Empire and the courts of Baghdad, Damascus and Cairo and enlightened rules like Suleiman the Magnificient.

Prince Charles - during a lecture at Oxford University:
"If there is much misunderstanding in the West about the nature of Islam, there is also much ignorance about the debt our own culture and civilisation owe to the Islamic world. It is a failure, which stems, I think, from the straight-jacket of history, which we have inherited. The medieval Islamic-world, from central Asia to the shores of the Atlantic, was a word where scholars and men of learning flourished. But because we have tended to see Islam as the enemy of the West, as an alien culture, society, and system of belief, we have tended to ignore or erase its great relevance to our own history."

D.C Sharma : The Prophets of the East, Calcutta, 1935, pp 12:
"Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotter by those around him."

Dale Jones: Data Analyst and mapping specialist for Religion Census :
"the burst of anti-Islam sentiment after the 9/11 attacks could have done more to grow the religion's presence in the U.S than slow it."

Dr. Danial Zainal Abidin – Islam the Misunderstood Religion :
  1. “Our world today is an era of science and technology. Islam is not only compatible with science, it is much more advanced than modern science. Many verses in the Quran concerning science can only be understood by scientists today. More than that, in Islam science is not the end but a means of understanding God’s greatness for the well-being of all mankind. “
  2. "We are in total agreement on one thing, however any act of terroris, whether it is committed by Muslims of non-Muslims, should be condemned. We should condemn the real terrorists, not the religion. However, many choose to condemn Islam as a religion. it is as Islam condones terrorism and war. In truth, Islam is really a misunderstood religion.
Daniel Streich: Swiss politician and former proponent of a Swiss Minaret ban, converted to Islam in 2005 said:
"Islam offers me logical answers to important life questions."

David George Hogarth (1862 - 1927) : English archaelogist and keeper of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford:
“Serious or trivial, his daily behaviour has instituted a canon which millions observe this day with conscious mimicry. No one regarded by any section of the human race as Perfect Man has been imitated so minutely. The conduct of the Founder of Christianity has not so governed the ordinary life of His followers. Moreover, no Founder of a religion has been left on so solitary an eminence as the Muslim Apostle.” [Arabia, Oxford, 1922, p. 52]

Deboran Frazier :
"I came to Islam after 9-11. As an American I wanted to know my "enemy" and once I came to understand Islam I knew it was what I always believed anyway and I shortly thereafter took shahadah."

De Lacy O'Leary : ISLAM AT THE CROSSROADS, London, 1923, p. 8:
"History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever repeated."

E.Alexander Powell: In "The Struggle for Power in Moslem Asia" said:
"In their war of conquest, however, the Muslims exhibited a degree of toleration which puts many Christian nations to shame."

Edward Gibbon (1737-1794) : Greatest historian of his time - History of The Saracen Empire, London, 1870:
  1. "The greatest success of Mohammad's life was effected by sheer moral force without the stroke of a sword."
  2. "I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MAHOMET, AN APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honor of the Prophet have never transgressed the measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion."
Encyclopedia Britannica :
"Muhammad is the most successful of all Prophets and religious personalities. "

F.F. Arbuthnot - "The Construction of the Bible and the Qur'an." (London, 1885) :
"It will thus be seen, from the above, that a final and complete text of the Qur'an was prepared within twenty years after the death (A.D. 632) of Muhammad, and that this has remained the same, without any changes or alteration by enthusiasts, translators or interpolators, up to the present time. It is to be regretted that the same cannot be sid of all the books of the Old and New Testaments."

Dr. Gary Miller: in "The Amazing Quran" said:
"Calling the Quran amazing is not something done only by Muslims, who have an appreciation for the book, and who are pleased with it. It has been labelled amazing by non-Muslims as well. In fact, even people who hate Islam very much have still called it amazing.

Sir George Bernard Shaw : THE GENUINE ISLAM, Singapore, Vol. 1, No.8, 1936:
  1. "I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him - the wonderful man and in my opinion for from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today."
  2. In 'The Genuine Islam,' Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936 > "If any religion had the chance of ruling over England, nay Europe within the next hundred years, it could be Islam."
George Sale: the first to translate the Quran into English, a hater of the Islamic religion said:
"I shall not here enquire into the reasons why the law of Mohammed has met with so unexampled a reception in the world (for they are greatly deceived who imagine it to have been propagated by the sword alone), or by what means it came to be embraced by nations which never felt the force of the Mohammedan arms, and even by those which stripped the Arabians of their conquests, and put an end to the sovereignty and very being of their Khalifs: yet it seems as if there was something more than what is vulgarly imagined, in a religion which has made so surprising a progress." (Sale, George. 1734. The Koran. London: C. Ackers. Preface, A2. )

George Sarton :A Belgian-American Chemist and historian > In his Book "Introduction to the History of Science" detailed the history of scientific knowledge with a significant focus on the scientific contributions during the Islamic Golden Age. He meticulously documented the work of Muslim scientists such as Jabir Ibn Hayyan and others who made foundational contributions to fields like chemistry, mathematics and medicine.

Guru Nanak :
"The age for the Vedas and Puranas is gone. Now, the Quran is the only book to guide the world."

Dr. Gustav LeBon : in his book "Civilisation of the Arabs"
"The reader will find in my treatment of the Arabs' conquests and the reason of their victories, that force was never a factor in the spread of the Koranic teachings, and that the Arabs left those they had subdued free to exercise their religious beliefs. If it happened that some Christian peoples embraced Islam and adopted Arabic as their language, it was mainly due to the various kinds of justice on the part of the Arab victors, with the like of which the non-Moslems were not acquainted. It was also due to the tolerance and leniency of Islam, which was unknown to the other religions."

H.A.R Gibb - Whither Islam, London 1932:
  1. “But Islam has a still further service to render to the cause of humanity. It stands after all nearer to the real East than Europe does, and it possesses a magnificent tradition of inter-racial understanding and cooperation. No other society has such a records of success in uniting in an equality of status, of opportunity, and of endeavors so many and various races of mankind… Islam has still the power to reconcile apparently irreconcilable elements of race and tradition. If ever the opposition of the Great societies of East and West is to be replaced by cooperation, the mediation of Islam is an indispensable condition. In its hand lies very largely the solution of the problem with which Europe is faced in its relations with the East. If they unite, the hope of a peaceful issue is immeasurably enhanced. But if Europe, by rejecting the cooperation of Islam, throws it into the arms of its rivals, the issue can only be disastrous for both”.
  2. “Islam has never known classes, and class warfare within its society, but the whole of European history since the time of Greece, and Rome is full of class struggle, and social hatred. Islam is indeed much more than a system of theology, it is a complete civilization.”
HILLARY CLINTON, Los Angeles Times, May 31, 1996, p.3:
“Islam is the fastest-growing religion in America, a guide and pillar of stability for many of our people…”

Islam Our Choice: From Booklet entitled "Priests Embracing Islam":
"Communism has its attraction, so have secular, democracy and Nazism. But none has got a complete code of a noble life. Only ISLAM has it, and that is why good men embrace it.
Islam is not theoretical; it is a practical. ISLAM is not departmental affair, it means complete submission to the will of God. "

James A. Michener: In "Islam: The Minunderstood Religion" - Reader's Digest , May 1955 :
"No other religion in history spread so rapidly as Islam. By the time of Muhammad’s death (632 AD) Islam controlled a great part of Arabia. Soon it triumphed in Syria, Persia, Egypt, the lower borders of present Russia and across North Africa to the gates of Spain. In the next century, its progress was even more spectacular. The West has widely believed that this surge of religion was made possible by the sword. But no modern scholar accepts that idea, and the Koran is explicit in support of freedom of conscience."

Dr. Jeffrey Lang: a professor of Mathematics at the University of Kansas, converted to Islam in 1982, remarked about the Quran :
  1. "You cannot simply read the Quran, not if you take it seriously. You either have surrendered to it already or you fight it. It attacks tenaciously, directly, personally; it debates, criticizes, shames and challenges".
  2. "As I read the Quran and prayed the Islamic prayers, a door to my heart was unsealed and I was immersed in an overwhelming tenderness."
John William Draper, M.D., L.L.D., A History of the Intellectual Development of Europe, London 1875, Vol.1, pp.329-330:
"Four years after the death of Justinian, A.D. 569, was born at Mecca, in Arabia the man who, of all men exercised the greatest influence upon the human race . . . Mohammed . . . "

Dr. Joseph Adam Pearson :
"People who worry that nuclear weaponry will one day fall in the hands of the Arabs, fail to realize that the Islamic bomb has been dropped already. It fell the day MUHAMMAD (pbuh) was born."
(20 Most common Questions about Islam - Dr Zakir Abdul Karim Naik)

K.S Ramakrishnan Rao: an Hindu Professor of Philosophy, in his book "Muhammad The Prophet of Islam" :
"The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes. There is Muhammad the Prophet. There is Muhammad the Warrior; Muhammad the Businessman; Muhammad the Statesman; Muhammad the Orator; Muhammad the Reformer; Muhammad the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad the Judge; Muhammad the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero."

Khadijah Sue Watson @ Mary Sue Malvat - :
  1. The efforts of Muslim scholars and intellectuals during the Golden Ages contributed significantly to the Renaissance, which helped Europe overcome its Dark Ages. Islam has never taught a conflict between religion and science, since true religion and true science are always in agreements. During the Golden Ages, Muslims became the world’s leading thinkers. They built the world’s first universities – Al-Zaytunah in Tunisia and Al-Azhar in Cairo, both of which are over 1,000 years old. Muslim astronomers devised precise calendars, built astronomical tables, compiled almanacs and built the world’s first observatories. Muslims built the world’s first public hospital in Baghdad in 706CE. Texts on medicine produced by the Islamic world were studied in Europe for centuries.
  2. In the "The Shocking Truth": “As a Christian, we never knew that the Muslims believed in the virgin birth of Jesus. We didn’t even think that they believed in Jesus at all. But if a Muslim does not believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, he/she is not a Muslim. I was also surprised to know that Muslims believe that Jesus was taken into heaven, and will come again! Mary, the mother of Jesus, has a whole chapter in the Holy Quran named after her, yet the Muslims don’t worship her or pray to her as the Catholics do ! The Catholics, and Protestant Bibles have only a small paragraph devoted to her. Surah Maryam is the name of the chapter (in the Quran) called after her, the mother of Jesus (peace be upon him). “
  3. Muslim love Jesus and believe in his miracles comes as a surprise to many people, especially Christians. Islam teaches that Jesus is one of the greatest prophets of Allah, like Moses before him, and Muhammad after him. The story of Jesus and his blessed mother Mary feature prominently in the Quran. Jesus is mentioned more times than Muhammad in the Quran, the 19th Chapter of the Quran is titled “Maryam”, which is Arabic for “Mary”.
Karen Armstrong - The True, Peaceful Face of Islam:
  1. Islam is not addicted to war, and jihad is not one of its "pillars" or essential practices. The primary meaning of the jihad is not "holy war" but "Struggle". It refers to the difficult effort that is needed to put God's will into practice at every level -- personal and social as well as political.
  2. “Terrorism has nothing to do with Muhammad, any more than the Crusades had anything to do with Jesus. There is nothing in the Islam that is more violent than Christianity. All religions have been violent, including Christianity. There was nothing in the Muslim world like antisemitism: that is an import of the modern period. They got it from us. The missionaries brought it over. And then came the state of Israel. Judaism has become violent in the modern world, thanks to the nation state.”
Professor Keith Moore, one of the world’s prominent scientists of anatomy and embryology. University of Toronto, Canada.
“It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Qur’an about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, or ‘Allah’, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad must have been a messenger of Allah.”

Kristiane Backer : From MTV to Mecca , How Islam Inspired my Life:
"In 2006 I went on the journey of a lifetime, the Hajj, it is the big pilgrimage to Mecca. It was wonderful seeing the black Kaaba surrounded by people in prayer wearing white, so serene, so holy. On Hajj the whole universe is gathered, a king prays next to a servant, a black next to a white. You realise in front of God nothing counts but what is in people’s hearts and their actions."

Prof. Laura Veccia Vaglieri: in "An Interpretation of Islam" :
"We have still another proof of the divine origin of the Quran in the fact that its text remained pure, and unaltered through the centuries from the day of its delivery to this day, and will remain so, God willing as long as the universe continues."

Leo Tolstoy: Muhammad has always been standing higher than Christianity. He does not consider GOD as a human being and never makes himself equal to GOD. Muslims worship nothing except GOD and Muhammad is his Messenger. There is not any mystery and secret in it.

Lothrop Stoddard: The New World of Islam

Malcolm X @ El-Haj Malik Shabaz - Great American and great Muslim
"America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to and even eaten with people who in America would have been considered white - but the white atitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective of their color"...

Margaret Nydell: in "Understanding Arabs" (p.83) :
"The God Muslims worship is the same God Jews and Christians worship (Allah is simply the Arabic word for God, Arab Christians pray to Allah)."

Marilyn Mornington - district Judge in England convert to Islam:
"Allah s.w.t had his eyes on me...He led me down a path from where there is no turning back from, because the more I got to know about Islam, about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the more it became obvious to me that this is where I wanted to belong and it is what I wanted to be."

Dr. Maurice Bucaille - author of "The Bible, the Quran and Science" 1978, p. 125 :
How could he then pronounce truths of a scientific nature that no other human-being could possibly have developed at that time, an all this without once making the slightest error in his pronouncement on the subject?" "It is impossible that Muhammad (peace be upon him) authored the Quran. How could a man, from being illiterate, become the most important author, in terms of literary merits, in the whole of Arabic literature?

Michael H.Hart : in his book "The 100: A Ranking of The Most Influential Persons in History." :
"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.
Of humble origins, Muhammad founded and promulgated one of the world's great religions, and became an immensely effective political leader. Today, thirteen centuries after his death, his influence is still powerful and pervasive. "

Michael Michaud : in his book "History of the Crusades"
Islam, besides calling for jihad, reveals tolerance toward the followers of other religions. It released the patriarchs, priests and their servants from the obligations of taxes. It prohibited, in special, the killing of priests for their performance of worship, and Omar ibn Al-Khattab did not inflict harm on the Christians when he entered Jerusalem as a conqueror. The Crusaders, however, did slay Moslems and burn the Jews when they entered the City."

Michael Wolfe: wrote under the heading "Islam: the Next American Religion?" :
"The U.S began as a haven for Christian outcasts. But what religion fits our current zeitgeist? The answer may be Islam. "

Mohandas Karamchand Ghandi (1869-1948): Indian thinker, statesman and nationalist leader:
"....I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These, and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every trouble." [Young India (periodical), 1928, Volume X]

Myriam Francois Cerrah - Former British Actress:
"The most dangerous type of knowledge is false knowledge, the perception that you do know something about an issue when in fact your understanding is either very superficial or highly biased in nature. And so what we have, I think, is a lot misinformation about Islam and about Muslims that floats around quite a bit and is reproduced through various means, particularly in the media. "

Natassia M. Kelly - 15 Year Old, Good-Christian Girl - Becomes 15 Year Old, Good-Muslim Girl:
It has been about five months since I recited the Shahadah. Islam has made me a better person. I am stronger now and understand things more. My life has changed significantly. I now have purpose. My purpose is to prove myself worthy of eternal life in Jennah. I have my long sought after faith. Religion is a part of me all the time. I am striving everyday to become the best Muslim I can be. People are often amazed at how a fifteen year old can make such an important decision in life. I am grateful that Allah blessed me with my state of mind that I was able to find it so young.

Nicole Queen: From'Party Girl' to American Muslim:
"There is truly nothing better for your life, than living it for God."

Olivia Rudgard: religious affairs correspondent for The Telegraph:
"Islam is the only religion growing faster than the world's population."

Paul Findley - Former US Congressman :
  1. “Muslims have much in common with Christians and Jews. Muslims, like Christians and Jews, worship the One God, Creator of the Universe. Allah is the Arabic word for God. Muslims, like Christians and Jews, consider themselves spiritual descendants of Abraham.
  2. Muslims, like Christians and Jews, pledge themselves to prayer, peace with justice, harmony, cooperation, compassion, charity, family responsibility, tolerance toward people of other faith traditions, and respect for the environment.
  3. All three faiths have spread worldwide. Because of geographic dispersal, within each faith exist several sects with slightly different interpretations of politics, family, dress, and social life.
Dr. Periyadarshan – well known Indian Psychotherapist and former Atheist. Embraced Islam in 2010 :
  1. “Islam is the only religion in the world that follows a book directly from God.”
  2. “The Holy Quran is still in the same format and style as it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from Almighty Allah.”
  3. “I was well-known in India for my atheist theology and later I came to realize that religion is the only way out for human beings both in the world as well as in the hereafter.”
Philip K. Hitti : in his book “History of the Arabs" :
“Moslem Spain wrote one of the brightest chapters in the intellectual history of medieval Europe. Between the middle of the 8th and the beginning of the 13th centuries, as we have noted before, the Arab speaking peoples were the main bearers of the torch and civilisation throughout the world, the medium through which ancient science and philosophy were recovered, supplemented and transmitted to make possible the renaissance of Western Europe." (h 174-175)."

Reverend R.Bosworth-Smith: Wrote in "Mohammed & Mohammedanism", 1946:
"If ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by a Right Divine, it was Mohammad, for he had all the power without instruments and without its support. He cared not for dressing of power. The simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life."

Robert Briffault : argued that Islamic civilization's revival of culture was the real renaissance for Europe, not the 15th century Italian one. In his book, The Making of Humanity, he emphasized that the "most momentous contribution of Arab civilization to the modern world" was science, which, along with other influences from Islamic culture, helped lift Europe out of its "Dark Ages" and sparked its own renaissance.

Rosie Gabrielle: Canadian Traveler and Vlogger:
"Unfortunately Islam is one of the most misinterpreted and criticized religions world wide. And like all religions, there are many interpretations. But, the core of it, the true meaning of Islam, is PEACE, LOVE & ONENESS. It’s not a religion, but a way of life. The life of humanity, humility and Love."

Saifuddin Dirk Walter Mosig, U.S.A:
"I have read the Sacred Scriptures of every religion; nowhere have I found what I encountered in Islam: perfection. The Holy Qur'an, compared to any other scripture I have read, is like the Sun compared to that of a match. I firmly believe that anybody who reads the Word of Allah with a mind that is not completely closed to Truth, will become a Muslim."

Sara Bokker - Actress and Model USA convert to Islam:
I found the Quran to be a very insightful address to heart and soul without the need for an interpreter or pastor.Eventually I hit a moment of truth: my new-found self-fulfilling activism was nothing more than merely embracing a faith called Islam where I could live in peace as a "functional" Muslim.

Sarojini Naidu - Indian Independence Activist and poet:
  1. "It (Islam) was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: ‘God Alone is Great’… I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother."
  2. lectures on "The Ideals of Islam", Madras, 1918: "Sense of justice is one of the most wonderful ideals of Islam, because as I read in the Qur'an I find those dynamic principles of life, not mystic but practical ethics for the daily conduct of life suited to the whole world."
Dr. Sherif Abdel Azeem:
"Islam still has so much to offer today's women: dignity, respect, and protection in all aspects and all stages of her life from birth until her death in addition to the recognition, the balance, and means for the fulfillment of all her spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional needs. No wonder most of those who choose to become Muslims in a country like Britain are women. In the U.S. women converts to Islam outnumber male converts 4 to 1."

Susie Brackenborough - Muslim revert:
"Islam does not allow prejudice for or against a tribe, a color or a race. No race is superior to other races. No colors are superior to other colors. Racial discrimination and color discrimination are absolutely probihited in Islam. Islam is for everyone."

Tejatat Tejasen - Faculty of Medicine, University of Chiang Mai, Thailand :
  1. "In the last three years, I became interested in the Qur'an... From my studies and what I have learned throughout this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Qur'an fourteen hundred years ago must be the truth, that can be proved by the scientific means.
  2. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the one who is eligible creator. This creator must be God, or Allah.
  3. I think this is the time to say La ilaha illa Allah, there is no god to worship except Allah (God), Muhammad rasoolu Allah, Muhammad is Messenger of Allah...
  4. The most precious thing I have gained from coming to this conference is La ilaha illa Allah, and to have become Muslim."
Thomas Carlyle: in his "Heroes and Hero Worship" about Muhammad (Pbuh) "
"The lies (Western slander) which well-meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muhammad) are disgraceful to ourselve only.
How one man single handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilised nation in less than two decades.
A silent great soul, one of that who cannot but be ernest. He was to kindle this world, the world's Maker had ordered so"

Uri Avnery - Israeli journalist :
THERE IS no evidence whatsoever of any attempt to impose Islam on the Jews. As is well known, under Muslim rule the Jews of Spain enjoyed a bloom the like of which the Jews did not enjoy anywhere else until almost our time. Poets like Yehuda Halevy wrote in Arabic, as did the great Maimonides. In Muslim Spain, Jews were ministers, poets, scientists. In Muslim Toledo, Christian, Jewish and Muslim scholars worked together and translated the ancient Greek philosophical and scientific texts. That was, indeed, the Golden Age. How would this have been possible, had the Prophet decreed the "spreading of the faith by the sword"?

Victor Robinson: In his book "The Story of Medicine" :
"Europe was darkened at sunset, but Cordova shone with public lamps. Europe was dirty,Cordova built a thousand baths. Europe was covered with vermin,Cordova change its undergarment daily. Europe lay in mud, Cordova's street were paved. Europe's palace had smoke-hole in the ceiling, Cordova arabesque were exquisite. Europe's nobility could not sign its name, Cordova's children went to school. Europe's monk could not read the baptismal service, Cordova's teachers created a library of Alexandrian dimesions. "

W. Montgomery Watt, ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY TODAY, London, 1983, p. ix:
"I am not a Muslim in the usual sense, though I hope I am a "Muslim" as "one surrendered to God," but I believe that embedded in the Quran and other expressions of the Islamic vision are vast stores of divine truth from which I and other occidentals have still much to learn, and 'Islam is certainly a strong contender for the supplying of the basic framework of the one religion of the future.'"

Dr. William Draper: "Four years after the death of Justinian, A.D. 569, was born in Mecca, in Arabia, the man who, of all men, has exercised the greatest influence upon the human race... To be the religious head of many empires, to guide the daily life of one-third of the human race, may perhaps justify the title of a Messenger of God."

Sir William Muir: said about the Quran:
"There is probably no other book in the world which has remained 12th centuries (now 14th) with so pure a text."

Dr. Yoshihide Kozai is Professor Emeritus at Tokyo University, Hongo, Tokyo, Japan:
“I am very much impressed by finding true astronomical facts in [the] Quran, and for us the modern astronomers have been studying very small pieces of the universe. We’ve concentrated our efforts for understanding of [a] very small part. Because by using telescopes, we can see only very few parts [of] the sky without thinking [about the] whole universe. So, by reading [the] Quran and by answering to the questions, I think I can find my future way for investigation of the universe.”

Yusuf Estes:
"All Muslims have memorized at least some books of the Quran and over 9,000,000 (nine million) have memorized the entire Quran, living today. All Muslims recite it in Arabic in their prayers five times a day."

Yvonne Ridley: former Chief Reporter for the Daily Express, convert to Islam in 2003 following her capture by the Taliban in 2001:
"Those seeking to understand Islam have found a spirituality previously lacking in their lives, while others have simply come to realize that this great faith present no threat at all to Western lifestyles and cultures."

Zainab Cobbold @ Lady Evelyn Cobbold (Scottish Noblewoman - first British woman to perform Pilgrimage to Mecca in 1934:
“Although Muhammad (pbuh) was a master of the Arabian Peninsula; he never thought of titles, nor attempted to invest in that; rather, he remained the same, only as a messenger of God and a servant of the Muslims; he cleaned his house himself, and fixed his shoes with his own hands. He was generous and giving as the blowing wind, not sought by the poor or the miserable except that he granted them all that he had, which was usually a little and hardly enough.”

DR ZAKIR ABDUL KARIM NAIK:
  1. "We can't judge Islam by its followers. If you want to judge Islam, then do so according to its authentic sources, i.e, the Qur'an and the Sahih Hadiths."
  2. "If you want to learn about Islam, go study ISLAM, don't study the MUSLIMS. ISLAM is perfect. MUSLIMS are not. "
  3. Nothing is far from the truth. It was the Islamic traders who served as excellent role models in the spread of Islam. In the book: “Islam at crossroads”, the author, on page 8, says that this belief is a myth. Look at the number of Coptic Christians in Egypt. They number 14 million. Couldn’t the Arabs have wiped them out or forcefully converted them to Islam?
  4. Look at India. In the 1,0000 years that the Muslims ruled over this subcontinent, every one could have been forcefully converted to Islam.
  5. How can you explain that there are 800 million Hindus and others still in India? Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia to convert them? These people converted by seeing the good behaviors of the Muslim/Arab traders. Readers’ Digest says that between 1944 and 1984, a period of 50 years, saw more conversion to Islam in Europe and USA than to any faith. I am asking you, who went with a sword to convert these people to Islam? It is the sword of theintellect that converts people.
