The way of Hari Raya celebration of the malay race has a difference if compared to many other races.
When it comes to every hari raya aidilfitri and Eid Al-Adha, there will be a Raya Takbir before the circumcision prayer. Do you understand the true meaning of the Takbir?
The meaning of Eid Takbir
Allah is great, God is great, God is great,
There is no God except Allah and Allah Almighty,
Allah is great and all praise is only worthy of Allah.
Allah is great, the most great, praise be to God that is very much,
Glory be to God in the morning and evening,
There is no God except Allah, and there is nothing we worship except him,
We are sincere to him (following the teachings of Islam) even though he is hated by the pagans,
There is no God except Allah the single,
The one who keeps his promise, who helps his servant,
And who glorify his army in defeating the army of al ahzab by himself (his power),
There is no God except Allah and God is great, Allah is great and all praise is only to Allah.
In The Takbir there is a saying 'honor his soldiers in defeating the al-Ahzab Army'. Not many know that this takbir was also is during the Malay Admiral's army against the invaders during the war. This Takbir is a habit for all the admiral and his followers from perak in the past while against the invaders. Only the tone of Takbir is hard and not beautiful. On Hari Raya the beautiful tone is made to look more polite because Hari Raya in the philosophy of the malays needs to be greeted with happiness.
Used to be a question from some of my friends from Arab land asking why malays celebrate Hari Raya with the takbir of war, playing cannons? This is because it is very different from the way the Arab people celebrate aidilfitri and adha.
What the malay race was actually practiced in the past is not just the takbir of Hari Raya that is war, but there are many more like :-
- the parade around the village
- Hari Raya sermon regarding the war of the Prophet's era, nowadays and the war of lust
- Hari Raya Takbir
- playing cannon
- war food
- Silat performance
- remembering the origin, history and appreciating the services of the old days by practicing the way of life in the past.
Hari Raya is also actually a practice of making the face the war that is practiced every year. In Hari Raya itself has been taught to learn about the past history. Unfortunately for nowadays, many have started to change the malay heritage because they don't understand what they are practicing.
The way that was practiced in the village was also different from these days. These days are celebrated easier.
Hari Raya parade in the old days started with the sound of a kompang-alcohol kompang. Then continued with the sound of a war drum while carrying the torch and greatness of the sultan, the Malay King, or the BIG 4 people who represent the local government. Those who follow with likes are willing to enter the sign of supporting loyal to the local government. Torch used to remember the old days because there were no battery power lights in the past. Torch Lit with fire gobek. Fire is also considered important necessity when in the darkness during chaos or chaos. The Takbir of is during the parade. The parade will be led by the leader of the parade, the parade which is the holder of greatness and palace equipment if no other palace representatives are present. The parade is still practiced in serdehana in the village area even though it is considered extinct. War Drums, fire gobek, parade positions, master are also considered extinct.
The Takbir of Hari Raya in the old days, after the end of prayer in the mosque will be continued in every house of the figures of warriors, the master, the neighbors and the glorified people. This way is still practiced in the village. The Takbir of Hari Raya is also symbolic of war with lust.
Playing Cannons in the old days, after praying at the mosque, the bamboo cannon game will be continued in the village. The way the bamboo cannon game was using a bullet. The Bullet is just a type of toy made from a dry round shell that is in or using artificial balls. In this game, after the cannon detonated, the most distant bullet is considered the winner. War food is like rendang tok bidor / rendang tok, floss, dodol, kuh dry and long-lasting food can be brought to wander and hard to break.
The Silat performance was also held after the eid prayer of dimasjid. The performance is made as a game to be greeted happily. This war art show also has similarities with the Sudan in the past in front of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
In the end, the prophet never banned playing weapons or shows related to the power of war but ordered to continue.
