MALAYSIA belongs to the AUSTRONESIAN space
On this August 31, wish a happy anniversary of independence (August 31, 1957) to our Sisters and Brothers of the Federation of Malaysia
Malaysia, in Malaysian Malaysia, is a country in Southeast Asia, consisting of Peninsular Malaysia or West Malaysia (most of the Malay Peninsula) and East Malaysia (north of Borneo). The name in long form federation of Malaysia, sometimes used to designate the Malay State, is not official for the authorities of Malaysia8. Malaysia is located about 200 km north of the equator. Its historical capital is Kuala Lumpur, its administrative capital is Putrajaya, and its area is 329,750 km2. It is home to a millennial jungle.
Malaysia is the result of the entry in 1963 of the British territories of Borneo, which became independent, Sabah and Sarawak, into the Federation of Malaysia, which itself became independent in 1957.
Like the other Asian countries, Malaysia benefited in the early 1990s from a massive influx of foreign capital12 which then withdrew, destabilizing the currency and then the economy of the countries13.
Hardly hit in 1997 by the monetary crisis (GDP collapsed by 7%), Malaysia chose, unlike neighboring countries, to reject the recommendations of the IMF and adopt a protectionist policy. The Malaysian economy is recovering much faster than the Indonesian or Thai economies, with growth of 5.4% in 1999 and 8% in 2014
