Are all religions the same?
How do I know which is correct?
Why should I choose Islam?
WHY ISLAM?
Critics often ask why Islam is any better than any other religion in the world. Off all the religions that exist, how can it be that only Islam is the truth?
If God exist, why cannot God use different religions.
Does not all the paths lead to God?
These are the common questionss posted by those who seek the truth.
DO YOU KNOW?
- What is Islam?
- The religion from God
- The concept of God
- The Preserved Scripture
- The Solution for Humanity.
WHAT IS ISLAM?
Islam means Peace.
Islam is derived from the root world Salaam which means Peace. Islam is also derived from the world Silm which means to submit or surrender. In short, Islam means "Peace acquired through submitting your will to God."
The Religion from God
Unlike other religion, Islam is not named after its founder or a community of its birth. Islam is an attributive title signifies obedience to God, the Creator of the Universe.
"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon, and have chosen fo you ISLAM as your religion."
(Quran 5:3)
The Concept of GOD
God in Arabic is "Allah". The word Allah is unique and stands alone. One of the main beauties is that it acknowledges the complete perfection, greatness and uniqueness of God with absolutely no compromises. This is reflected in Islam's pure teachings of the attributes of God.
God is one & Unique
- God has no partners, no equals and no rivals.
- God has no father, mother , sons, daughters of wives.
- God alone is worthy of all worship.
God is Powerful
- God has full authority and power over all things.
- Obedience to God does not increase His Power, not does disobedience decrease His Power.
God is The Most High
- There is nothing above or comparable to God.
- The attributes of God do not resemble that of His creation.
- No part of God is present in anyone or anything.
God is Perfect
- God does not have any human limitations, such as resting on the seventh day after He created the universe.
- God always maintains attributes of perfection and does not do anything to compromise this perfection such as "becoming a man" as claimed by other religions. God does not do ungodly acts, so if God became man and took on human attributes, he would, necessarily, no longer be God.
Al-Quran

(Quran 23:91)
"There is nothing what ever like unto Him, and he is the One that hears and sees (all things)."
(Quran 42:11)

(John 5:30)

(Mark 12:29 & Deuteronomy 6:4)

(Numbers 23:19)
"You should have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God."
(Exodus 20:3-5 & Deuteronomy 5: 7-9)

(Svetasvatara Upanishad 6:9)
"There is no likeness of Him."
(Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19 & Yajurveda 32:3)

(Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20)

Protected Scriptures
QUR'AN means Recitation and is the only form of scripture that has been preserved in its original state for more than 1400 years.
The Institute for Koranforschung, for example, in the University of Munich (Germany), collected over 42,000 complete or incomplete ancient copies of the Qur'an. After around 50 years of research, they reported that there was no variance between the various copies, except the occassional mistakes of the copyist which could easily be ascertained. This institute was unfortunately destroyed by bombs during WWII.
Thus, due to the efforts of the early companions of prophet Muhammad (pbuh), with Allah's assistance, the Qur'an as we have today is recited in the same manner as it was revealed. This makes it the only religious scripture that is still completely retained and understood in its original language. Indeed, as Sir William Muir states, "There is probably no other book in the world which has remained twelve centuries (now fourteen) with so pure a text."
The evidence above confirms Allah's promise in the Qur'an "Verily, We have revealed the Reminder, and verily We shall preserve it." (Qur'an 15:).
The Qur'an has been preserved in both oral and written form in a way no other book has, and with each form providing a check and balance for the authenticity of the other. (Source : www.iiie.net)
Solution for Humanity
The Islamic Law, which encompassed Qur'anic injunctions and prophetic teachings, can solve the current global problems. Shari'ah literally means the "road to a watering place," hence the path of God. It is the body of revealed laws found both in the Qur'an and the Sunnah which "spells out the precice rules and regulations governing individual relations with God as well as fellow-Muslims and Non-Muslims."
Thus, it embraces ideally both the religious and non-religious activities of the Muslims. Bearing in mind the unique character of Islam as a religion and complete code of life, Shari'ah has a comprehensive public law that covers both constitutional and international affairs. Likewise, it has a private law that covers both criminal and civil matters. It is fundamentally a doctrine of acts and obligations based entirely on revealed sources - namely the Qur'an and the Sunnah. It is only complete was of life towards which the individualand society must strive.
It is worth to search for the true Religion?
This present life in only a test for the next realm of existence. Our place in the hearafter, either Heaven (Paradise)or Hell, is decided by which religion we follow. Moreover, the life in the hearafter is eternal, unlike the present life, which usually does not exceed 100 years.
"Truly, God will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds, to Gardens, underneath which rivers flow (in Paradise), wherein they will be odorned with bracelets of gold and pearls and their garments therein will be os silk. "
(Qur'an 22:23)
The Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (pbuh) said:
"Whoever enters Paradise is blessed with a life of joy; he will never feel miserable, his clothes will never wear out, and his youth shall never fade away. The people will hear a divine call: "I grant you that you will be healthy and never fall sick, you will live and never die, you will be young and never age, you will be joyful and never feel miserable."
(Narrated in Saheeh Muslim)
So after this, how can a wise person risk losing all these pelasured?
Usually in this world, we spend several years to get a certificate that entitle us for a good job. So does not our eternal life deserves that we spend for it few weeks or days of reading and studying to decide which religion is acceptable beside God and which will lead us to eternal happiness?
