THE GREAT EASTERN COLOUR MY HEART RUN 2015
The Great Eastern Colour My Heart Run 2015 in Kuala Lumpur was a massive success, bringing together over 16,500 participants to Dataran Merdeka on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
This inaugural event, a collaboration between Great Eastern Life Malaysia and the Heart Foundation of Malaysia (YJM), combined a competitive 12km race with a vibrant 5km "Fun Run" designed to promote cardiovascular health and general happiness.
Great Eastern's Colour My Heart Run 2015, which aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, was held in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
Held in collaboration with the Heart Foundation, the run in George Town, Penang was held on April 19 and the run in Kuala Lumpur on May 24.
Great Eastern Life director and chief executive officer, Datuk Koh Yaw Hui in a statement said the Penang leg would start from Padang Kota Lama in George Town and the Kuala Lumpur leg from Merdeka Square.
The run attracted over 16,500 participants (across the Penang and KL legs combined), with the Kuala Lumpur event serving as the grand finale. It was designed to promote cardiovascular health through "experiential" fitness—making exercise so fun that it didn't feel like a chore.
